26 entries this year! In four groups by my reckoning over 120 games were played in one night from 6pm! The resident Janitor probably had their work cut out for them de-odorising and cleaning up the sweat and tears.

Many thanks from the Hithercroft club go out to Andy Morrison for arranging a most excellent evening.  The rankings were exceptionally well set. All games were close from what I saw.  But what handicap do you bestow upon the 4th best player in the county?  We reckoned make him play with a balloon tied to each of his Croc's.  From the games I saw from our number one seed, he looked strong indeed giving plus minus eight to most opponents.​

Even your resident webmaster had a fair crack at getting into the finals to 'face the Jase', but lost 4 match-points to the venerable Jamie Hicks who with the now club champion Alex Cummings came out of the D table and for Jamie to face Varrie in C.  Jamie managed to create the best upset of the night besting our '1 seed' at the quarters but succumbed in the next game to Ali in the Semi's.  Alex came out top trumps for the final match being an all Ali battle!  Alex showing his physicality and en-erring accuracy off as the other 24 players licked their wounds and the froth off a pint of beer.
